Operation
When a Strip Coil arrives at the strapping position the SMB-E has already positioned itself vertically to align the strap guides
with the center of the Strip Coil – it is ready to strap. When the coil is in position the Strapping Machine moves horizontally towards it and the strap guides closes through the eye of the coil. Strap is then fed through the strap guide system and into the Strapping Unit. The strap is clamped and the Feeding Unit retracts surplus strap while the Strapping Unit moves towards the coil. The Strapping Unit performs the seal, cuts the strap and returns to it’s retracted initial position. The strap guides remains connected through the eye of the coil while the Turn Rollers rotate it to the next strapping position. The strap is again fed through the strap guide system and into the Strapping Unit and the strapping cycle reiterates. When the required amount of straps have been applied, the strap guides opens, and the Strapping Machine retracts horizontally to it’s home position.
