Responsibility:
As Sales Manager, you are responsible for the company’s sales activities and lead a sales department whose results are essential for the company’s long- and short-term survival. You work towards the goals in the business plan and the company’s annual sales budget and are ultimately responsible for achieving the sales goals. Examples of tasks include budgeting, business planning, work management, calculation, operational sales, strategic sales, management work and reporting. The priority is to lead and develop the sales operation, however, it is important at Sund Birsta that the manager can also perform the craft operationally within their area.
The role places high demands on being able to work independently under one’s own responsibility and the ability to cooperate in interfaces with customers, suppliers, other departments, staff, management colleagues, parent company, subsidiaries, board and owners.
As the work takes place in an international arena, there are challenges in everything from trade barriers, technology to language and culture. Business travel is a natural part of work as well as the need for your flexibility regarding working hours. As the company’s products are most often used in process flows within rolling mills, good technical understanding is needed.
The role involves good opportunities for training and good conditions. In addition, there is the opportunity to develop within the organization and in the long-term work in subsidiaries or within other management and the boards of the group of companies. Requirement:
In order for you to have the conditions to be successful in the assignment, you should have:
- a post-secondary degree, such as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Master of Science in Engineering or Master of Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge.
- experience in sales in heavy industry in a global market and long-term customer relationships. We would like you to also have knowledge of our market and our products.
- experience in a formal management role including successful leadership.
- good knowledge of English and Chinese. Other language skills, such as Swedish or German, are desirable.
- good general computer skills. Knowledge of business systems and ERP/CRM is an advantage.
The Sales Manager reports directly to the CEO and is part of the management team.
